Blog#15: My circle

Hello!
I'm Mikako.
this is my last blog. I am very sad but I finished the test, so I,m very happy:-)
I can't get up early. I oversleep these days because it is very cold. Be careful not to catch a cold and to oversleep.

By the way, today, I'll write about my circle because in April we have to gather many people to my circle, so I introduce my circle.
I belong to the club for the announcement. It is very enjoyable for me.  it has a clubroom where we can keep our textbook, play video games and use a refrigerator. Going there, we always meet friends.  And our pronunciation becomes good. We practice announcements twice a week, for example, we read news and announcements in a skiing ground. Our pronunciation cannot become good quickly, but we have a good time. And  we have a lot of good friends. Everybody is kind and interesting so the conversation grows more lively. We help each other before the test and we can lend and borrow textbooks. And  it is very active. We hold a program recital in our own university and we go there so we can make friends with those who go to the different colleges. Indeed, the club for the announcement is very pleasant for me.
Loooook!
this is my circle!!!!!

I want to join my circle!!!
Thank you :-)

Blog #15 Guess Who's Coming for Dinner

Hi, I am Chihiro. My spring vacation began since three days ago! How about you:)??
This time, I am going to talk about "Guess Who's Coming for Dinner ".  This is a film directed by Stanley Kramer, and received some prizes.

In this film, the white woman Joanna and the negro man John fall in love, and they decide to marry. In other words, they decided on intermarriage. Of course, it is very hard for thier parents to accept John and Joanna's marriage. In this movie, we can see difficulties between two families.

At first, although Joanna's mother was reluctant to let her marry, gradually, she thought  that the marriage is her daughter's best hapiness, so she decided to stand by her daughter. However, although her father has a liberal attitude toward racial discrimination,  he objected to his daughter's marriage. I agree their marriage, because their happiness is most important, and the highest priority, I think.  Still, I have some sympathy for Joanna's father. It is a foregone conclusion that John and Joanna find trouble everywher. So it is quite natural for him to be against.

In this movie,  it is the impressive scene for me that a black housekeeper strongly opposed their marriage. Why was she so strongly opposed to their marriage? Why has she an instinctive dislike of Jphn? ... by the way, I was surprised  at the scene which she goes out with a white male.

The last scene(both familles accepted  John and Joanna's marriage) moved me deeply. To sum up, I recommend this movie!!!!!!

Have a nice vacatioooooon :)!!

Blog #15 Guess Who's Coming for Dinner

  Hi, I'm Mayu Morihiro.

This semester have finished and a period of the test is at height !
I'm very nervous x(    But spring vacation will be coming soon :)

The other day, we saw a masterpiece movie "  Guess Who's Coming for Dinner".
I have never seen it , but after watching it,  I knew its Japanese name "招かれざる客".
I have heard the name. It is very famous movie !!

The theme of the movie is discrimination.
The white color woman Joanna and the negro man John fall in love and decide to marry.
But, at that time, it was illegal over 15 states in the U.S.
So, when Joanna introduced him to her parents, they were very surprised and puzzled.
But, her mother Christina thought the best happy choice for her daughter and agreed with her.
In contrast, her father Matt disagreed with her becuase they had to go over a lot  of trouble.
Also, Mrs. Prentice (John's mother)  knew his true love for Joanna and agreed with him.
But, Mr. Prentice disagreed with him and he said "It was utterly mad ! "

My favorite scene is a harsh exchange of words between John and his father.
John's father said " I worked to carry a heavy briefcase everyday because  I earned your school fees ! ".
But John said "It is parants's duty ! If I will have a son, I will do so ! ".
It is very strict words, but Johon sticked to his bliefs.
I think it is wonderful that he didn't give in to the opinion from those around him.
Also, John said to his father "As long as your generation are living, we are continued to discriminate! ".
It is very serious, but I felt John's passionate belief and depply love for Joanna.
So, this scene is the best for me in this movie.

In this movie, I think that love is unsurpassable.
They were firmly bound together by love and it would never break by the discrimination.

This movie reflects fully on the age .
Besides, not only discrimunation but also true love is thought over again.
Why people discriminate the same people? What is the true love?
I was deeply moved this movie. So, I want to recommend this movie.

Hi, I am Chihiro!
The winter vacation is up, and school began from today. What did you do with yourself during this vacation?Did you enjoy your vacation :)??

Yesterday or the day before yesterday is one of the most important days for us! ...As you know, we hold a coming-of-age celebration. I got up early and went to a beauty parlor to get my long sleeved kimono. A coming-of age celebration is one of Japanese ceremony. It is perform on coming-of-age day. Coming-of-age day is the second Monday on January, and this day is a national holiday. So, this day is very important for Japanese people.

After I wore a long sleeved kimono, I went to the Hall. All of my city’s 20 year’s people gathered in this place, so we could meet again with our classmate after a long time. After the celebration, we had a class reunion, I was looking forward to join this class reunion. I had very good time!!  However, today, I had important examination, so I was very nervous during the class reunion :(

See you ;)

Blog #15 My special memory

  I'm Mayu Morihiro.

A happy new year ! Welcome to 2012:)

 Did you enjoy last year?
I could make a lot of memory last year.
As you know, I went  abroad twice a year, London and Hawaii  ;)
So, I enjoyed and enriched my life last year !

The other day, I got an unforgettable memory.
I went to Tokyo Disneyland from New Year's Eve to New Year's Day.
My sister got a special  "New Year's Eve Passport". So, we could go there!

This is valid from at 20:00 o'clock  on 31th December to at 6:00 o'clock on 1st January.
Also, we can go to Tokyo Disney Sea beginnig at 0:00.

We arrived at the Maihama station at 19:45.
But we colud enter the park at 21:00 !
There are filled with a lot of people and a line formed in front of the entrance.
I was very surprised this scene and it was so cold xD

At last, we could enter the park and get a fast pass in the Splash Mountain.
But I was very surprised, too.
The time is valid for from 3:30 to 4:30 am !
It is unbelievable !!!!!! I felt the true joy of the special passport : )

At 0:00, the fireworks have started in front of  the Cinderella Castle.
We did a countdown with those people.

An ordinary year, it  is held a special parade.
But,  owning to the disaster, there were no special entertainments.
Fireworks have carried out splendidly !!!!

Also, there were a special menu, such as "toshikoshi-soba" or "ozouni".
It is a limited production item, so there had sold out immediately.
We could eat an ozouni. It was really felt me the New Year spirit.
But it is unsual !! haha

At 5 o'clock am, we got on the Big Thunder Mountain.
It drove through the air, so it was very cold x(
But it was my best attraction and I enjoyed it very much.

I really enjoyed it and  it became my precious and unforgettable memory.
I want to go there next year :)

Tell me about your memory !  See you  ; )
